Death by Meeting

Based upon Patrick Lencioni's book Death by Meeting this workshop will review the concepts in Patrick's book. Each participant will recieve a copy of the book and read prior to the session.

Given the considerable investment in time and energy spent in meetings, the ability to facilitate meetings in a manner that fully engages team resources efficiently is a critical, but an often overlooked, management skill. Meetings should be a place where employees get excited to participate and contribute. With this result in mind, participants will be equipped with tools to create meaningful agendas, encourage accountability to decisions and manage unproductive dynamics. Participants will learn how to keep meeting time efficient by segmenting meetings according to purpose. This workshop will provide the essential components to run more successful meetings leading to more powerful employee accountability systems.

Time Mastery

Develop a shared organizational strategy for managers and employees to discuss time and the importance of how it’s spent. Setting priorities and managing time are essential to enhancing and improving individual and organizational performance. Organizations and managers are under an enormous amount of pressure to find innovative ways to achieve business goals, build competitive advantages, increase market share, respond quickly to supply and demand. Helping employees enjoy life outside of work is becoming increasingly difficult in today’s less structured, fast-paced, forever changing workplace. Meeting the daily challenges of managing thousands of hours of employee time requires a solid time management strategy that people understand.

Transitions

Change happens. Change can be a negative change, like the loss of a job. Or a positive change, such as a promotion. Either way, many employees have trouble moving from the comfort of the familiar through the uncertainty of change toward a new beginning. Fortunately, we can customize a process to help employees on their journey though these changes. Based on a structured three-stage process developed by William Bridges, Ph.D., Managing Transitions – Making the Most of Change integrates the insights that help employees find the most effective process of moving through transitions. Managing Transitions – Making the Most of Change is a personalized curriculum that will be developed by Corporate Adventures to help employees through the emotional transition from “what was” to “what will be.” The benefits of this program will include a faster, smoother journey from frustrating resistance to fulfilling engagement. For your organization, the benefits are even more tangible: higher employee productivity, greater adaptability, and improved innovation during times of change.

The Leadership Challenge

Some people think that leaders are born, a miraculous gift from God. However, research shows that leadership is a set of behaviors that are different from the traditional management techniques of power and control. Anyone willing and committed to performing the right set of leadership behaviors can find success. Acclaimed authors Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner have written the book called The Leadership Challenge® which summarized a set of critical leadership behaviors into five exemplary leadership practices and ten commitments. Leaders can practice these skills to maximize their ability to transform organizational visions into an organization reality. The Leadership Challenge® series will equip your leaders with the knowledge it takes to become world class leaders!
